About The Event
Creamy, emollient & luxurious lather is what you can expect from goat milk soap!
This class is designed for those wanting to learn how to make goat milk soap from scratch but was afraid to tackle it alone. We will cover how to properly add goat milk to your soap making recipe as well as the basics of making cold process soap including various oil usages, safety precautions when dealing with lye, colorants, fragrances, curing times and more. All protective supplies are included; however, please dress comfortably with long sleeves and closed toe shoes.
Goat milk contains many vitamins, but is particularly high in Vitamin A, which is necessary to repair damaged skin tissue, and maintain healthy skin. The cream that is present in goat milk helps boost the moisturizing quality of goat milk soaps. Goat milk contains important minerals for the skin such as selenium. Selenium is believed by scientists to have an important role in preventing skin cancer. Selenium can also help prevent damage to the skin from excessive time in the sun.
